Microfauna serves many purposes in our vivariums, from cleanup crews to additional food sources. They are the heart of our self contained ecosystems.

Such springtails and isopods These  serve several important functions: they act as tank janitors, helping to break down dead plant matter and uneaten food. They also provide the vivarium inhabitants with an extra in-house snack and aid in nutrient cycling.
